OPEN LAB HOURS
Open Lab is available to help you improve your keyboarding, test your Microsoft Office knowledge, access interest and aptitude assessments, and practice basic computer skills. No registration necessary. This is a COMPUTER-BASED, SELF-PACED lab; a lab assistant is available to help you.
You can also use time in Open Lab to access GCG Global, which gives you the freedom to learn what you want, when you want, absolutely free! Tutorials available in Technology, Core Skills, Reading & Math, and more.
Open Lab Hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays, 1 – 4 pm, and Fridays, 9 am – 12 noon.
These beginning computer skills sessions are for job seekers with little or no computer ability. Sign-up below or with staff assistance at any office or by calling 719.667.3700.

Covers basic computer terminology, use of mouse, Windows, task bar, and minimizing/maximizing.
Basic Computer Skills-Part 1 Registration

Learn to conduct internet searches and the basics of email etiquette and safety.
Basic Computer Skills-Part 2 Registration
- Microsoft Word Basics
Covers word processing, cut/paste, and font changes. PREREQUISITE: Must have attended “Basic Computer Skills-Part 1” workshop or must have basic knowledge of how to use a mouse, Windows, and ability to type a minimum or 10 words per minutes on the keyboard.

TABE is the Test of Adult Basic Education which determines your current skills level in reading and math.
1. Register with Connecting Colorado online or at PPWFC.
2. Attend a TABE Assessment session at PPWFC.
