Meet Your Business Relations Group

Business Specialists are your single point of contact for consultation, information, and services provided by the Business Relations Group. Each Business Specialist is assigned an industry and is the expert for that industry.

How does the Business Relations Group work with your business? Your Business Specialist will meet with you to:

1. Partner with you to conduct an in-depth analysis of your company’s unique workforce and hiring needs, resources and goals.
2. Next, your Business Specialist will prepare viable options and recommendations such as customized hiring events, candidate assessments, and possible grant participation.

3. As needed, your Business Specialist will help implement recommendations and follow through to ensure your success

Dana Barton, Director of Business Relations and Employment Development. Ms. Barton is responsible for business services, adult programs and youth programs at the center and leads a staff of over 20 case managers, business services representatives and training facilitators. She has held increasingly responsible positions with the workforce center including membership on the Workforce Investment Board from 2009 to 2012 and the Youth Council from 2006 to 2012. She also chaired the Youth Council and served as secretary of the Workforce Development Board from 2011 to 2012. Ms. Barton has held director-level talent recruitment roles for a national-level information technology recruiter, a 5-star hospitality industry leader and a collegiate-level athletic department. She served as Senior Technical Recruiter with Robert Half Technology specializing in placement of technical consultants; served as Director of Recruitment for The Broadmoor with responsibility for developing and implementing recruitment programs for 43 departments and up to 2,100 employees. She also served as the Recruiting and Operations Assistant for the University of Colorado Football Program. Ms. Barton’s leadership extends beyond the workplace. Highly involved in workforce development, Ms. Barton was a member of the 2014 inaugural class of the National Workforce Development Professionals New and Emerging Leader Initiative, collaborating with emerging leaders across the country to bring the voice of a generation to the forefront of workforce efforts. She has served on the Board of Directors for Launch High School since 2013, a charter school employing entrepreneurship and innovation framework to develop young talent and ambitions. She is a trained facilitator of The Ice House Entrepreneurship Program. In 2014, Ms. Barton was recognized as a Rising Star through the Colorado Springs Business Journal and received the Young Professional of the Year award from the Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce. Born in Takoma Park, Maryland, Ms. Barton grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in food industry management from the College of Agriculture, Michigan State University.

Picture of Rhonda Miller Rhonda Miller, Business Services Team Leader, and her team connect local and regional businesses with qualified job seekers. She previously led teams at two national publishing agencies, developed local and regional community and business partnerships, and served as director of advertising for several regional publications. Ms. Miller has extensive experience in sales and sales management in a variety of industries, including advertising, professional services, information technology solutions, and publishing serving both the commercial and federal government markets. Her professional experience spans business-to-business, business-to-government, education, travel, consumer, technology, and special interest categories.

Felicia Barbera, Business Specialist with a focus on the Health Care Industry. A 2013 graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership’s Community Leadership Program, Felicia studied International Politics at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and served in the United States Navy. After living abroad in Italy for many years teaching English as a Foreign Language to Italians, she returned to Colorado Springs and established a career in Real Estate. An officer for Toastmasters International, Felicia is an outstanding public speaker who enjoys sharing the message of the Pikes Peak Workforce Center with the World.

Picture of Bob Gemignani Bob Gemignani, Business Services Specialist, coordinates and implements strategic activities facilitating alignment of the developing workforce to needs of local business and industry. He directs and facilitates collaboration and partnerships with economic development organizations, educational and vocational institutions, and local government to create economic vitality throughout the Pikes Peak region. Efforts support organizational outcomes including business development, facilitation of sector partnerships, employer and talent recruiting for job fairs and hiring events, and collection and distribution of critical workforce intelligence to employers. Bob previously served as Youth Services Team Leader directing efforts to increase job and career readiness for at-risk young adults. Bob was named the Pikes Peak Workforce Center, 2014 Employee of the Year.

Robin Lovewell bio and picture Robin Lovewell, Business Specialist focusing on IT, hospitality, tourism, non-profit, retail, services, and finance industries. Robin brings over six years of experience helping job seekers connect with employers. She was an integral part of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP) at Fort Carson as well as Peterson and Schriever Air Force Bases and the U.S. Air Force Academy. Because of her experience in the TAP program, Robin utilizes her deep network of contacts in order to connect vital businesses in El Paso and Teller Counties with the Workforce Center’s work-ready job seekers. She is a graduate of the National Veterans’ Training Institute, University of Colorado, Denver. Robin is a proud military spouse with an appreciation for different cultures and new experiences after having lived in three overseas locations for a total of eight years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Spanish from San Diego State University

Bethlehem Saniotis, Business Technician, has been with different departments at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center since 2006. Beth obtained a Diploma in Commerce and a BA in Foreign Languages from Addis Ababa University. Currently, with the Business Relations Group, she manages job postings in Connecting Colorado as well as coordinates customized hiring events for employers.
