Colorado Enhanced Approved Training Program

Follow PPWFC on Twitter

Colorado unemployment claimants now have the opportunity to attend school or training and receive 50% more in weekly benefits if they are attending or recently attended training programs leading to certain occupations. The Colorado Enhanced Approved Training Program  (CEATP) allows claimants this enhanced benefit if their training takes place during their initial unemployment claim. Here are the details on applying for CEATP:

1) Confirm that you are currently in the INITIAL UI claim. PPWFC Representatives can be reached at 719.667-3727 or 719.667.3781.

(CEATP may be paid retroactively to July 1, 2009, if you were in approved training and in your initial claim from 7/1/09 to the present).

2) Determine if your chosen field of study is on the approved occupation list below.

3) Call 719.667.3781 to confirm field of study and to schedule a CEATP appointment. CEATP Application appointments are set for the day of or after the first day of classes attended. Bring your class schedule and plan for 30-60 minutes for the appointment.

*** It is recommended that claimants call 719.667.3781 on Tuesdays or Thursdays, as Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays will primarily be for CEATP Application appointments. If you call at any other time, your call will be responded to as soon as possible. Please be clear about the spelling of your name and the return phone number in your message.

4) UI will notify you by mail regarding your CEATP acceptance status.

If you anticipate going to school in the near future, CEATP may be available to you so long as part or your entire initial UI claim coincides with school attendance and your training program corresponds to one of the occupations listed below.
