Employment specialists assist eligible Veterans in maximizing their employment opportunities through career assessment, vocational guidance, and job development. In addition, they provide transition assistance including workshops, coaching, and valuable information -- all while helping to protect Veteran employment rights and to meet labor market demands.
The Military Veteran Employment Expo (MVEE) is a three day event which will run May 15-17, and will be held at Pikes Peak Community College. The first two days will consist of various classes and workshops followed by a job fair on the third day.
The NSF Military STEM Scholarship is for past and current military service members who are pursuing biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, geography
and environmental science, computer science, or engineering disciplines.
Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student at UCCS and demonstrate FAFSA need.
Awards will supplement any military or Veterans Administration education
benefits and are not limited to tuition and fees.
